Welcome to Boundary
Welcome to Boundary
Engineering decisions are hard. They're often irreversible, have long-term consequences, and involve trade-offs that aren't immediately obvious. That's why we built Boundary.
What is Boundary?
Boundary is a cloud-first, open-source, MCP-native multi-agent debate system that helps you stress-test engineering decisions before they harden. You can fork and run it locally when you need full control. Instead of relying on a single perspective, Boundary brings together multiple opinionated AI agents to debate your decisions from different angles.
Why Multi-Agent Debates?
The debate is not about answers. It's about decision risk surfaces.
When you're making a critical technical decision, you need to understand:
- Hidden assumptions that might come back to haunt you
- Irreversible commitments that lock you into a path
- Failure modes you haven't considered
- Trade-offs between competing concerns
A single AI assistant can give you one perspective. Multiple agents with different biases and priorities will surface the tensions and risks that matter.
How It Works
- Ask a question - Pose your engineering decision as a question
- Agents debate - Multiple AI agents with different perspectives analyze your decision
- Surface risks - The debate highlights assumptions, trade-offs, and failure modes
- Make informed decisions - Use the insights to make better choices
Open Source and Deployment
Boundary is cloud-first (Cloud Sync + dashboard). The MCP is open source: you can fork it and run it locally on your machine or infrastructure. When you run it locally, your decision data stays private and under your control.
